Designed for students in grades 6-8, SOS Signs of Suicide for High School teaches students how to identify the signs of depression and suicide in themselves and their peers. Through a guided video discussion and brief screening for depression, students are encouraged to ACT (Acknowledge, Care, Tell) when worried about themselves or a friend.
SOS's evidence-based program takes just one class period to deliver, includes training materials for faculty and school staff, and provides in-person and online educational materials for parents. In response to the Covid-pandemic, SOS has been updated for in-person, virtual, or hybrid classrooms. License must be renewed annually.
